Erasing LoC may be a solution to the Kashmir problem

Can Indo _ Pak hosilities cease by mere erasure of LoC.

"A new study sponsored by the US Institute of Peace has concluded that the Kashmir issue could be resolved by making the Line of Control (LoC) “irrelevant”, thereby paving the way for free movement of trade and people.

It said that softening of the LoC suits India, Pakistan and the people of Kashmir, as the divided families will be reunited, the business community will flourish, but the militants will have to be dealt with because they are opposed to any such outcome.

Do you think the soften-LoC solution means the same to all kinds of people beside the border?
