Is Google developing an OS?

invisibile Forbes quotes web researcher Net Applications:

New data showed that a percentage of Internet users in Google's offices (Mountain View) are using an operating system that essentially shields itself from detection by stripping traffic of identifying information. This data, known as a user agent, is a string of information that a computer uses to identify itself. Removing it means that outsiders like Net Applications cannot tell which operating system a particular Web user is using.

The article speculates that Google employees are test running the much-rumoured Google’s OS.
