Easy access to fuel online business boom

If the Retail 2020 report analysis turns out to be true, retailing in the current sense may well become obsolete by 2020.

Researchers Sean Sands and Carla Ferraro of the Australian Centre for Retail Studies of Monash University (MU) predict a shift in consumer buying habits.

Based on extensive research conducted in Australia, New Zealand and Asia they conclude that easy internet broadband access to online retail spaces like eBay means consumers will prefer to deal directly with wholesalers.

This means traditional brick and mortar retailing outlets may dwindle in the next 10 years as more and more customers purchase from online business.
